About Us

At Tydo, you’ll get the benefits of working directly in the consumer ecommerce world, while also tackling exciting data viz and engineering problems. We see learning and collaboration as the best parts of our day and believe spending 10% of your time making the other 90% of your life easier as a good bet. We are meeting-lite, lean, and hungry. That being said, we drop things as soon as we can to help each other out. We enjoy working with each other and are keen on solving complex eCommerce and logistics problems.

We are a data-first company; we load it, transform it, and tell stories with it. We’re backed by Greylock Partners, YCombinator and top-tier e-commerce and fintech founders.

About the Role

As the Social + Community Manager you will be central to Tydo’s success by owning our social media presence across key channels, growing our audience and engaging with Tydo's community. In this role, you'll directly impact how Tydo is represented and perceived by our customers, our partners, and our stakeholders. We’re looking for someone to create and distribute informative, high-value social content (with an emphasis on Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram) as well as build and engage our community on these platforms.

This person will work within the content arm of Marketing but coordinate cross-functionally with partnerships, growth, product, and ops to support team-wide initiatives. The person in this role will have a passion for DTC/e-commerce and data/analytics as well as writing and creating content that influences, educates, and entertains. They should be a student of the latest social media trends and strategies and enjoy building community.

Who you’ll be working with

You’ll work directly with the Brand and Content Marketing Lead and collaborate cross-functionally with Growth, Partnerships, Customer Success, Design, Product, and more!

Responsibilities

  • Create a holistic, on-brand social program that engages audiences across core audience segments including: customers (founders + operators of dtc brands and agencies that support them), b2b influencers, freelancers, investors, and future-thinking thought leaders.
  • Formulate, articulate, and communicate Tydo's brand voice across company’s social media channels, sometimes even building communications for key team members' personal channels.
  • Create social microcontent in Figma and brief designers/video editors on more complex content types. You will own social content from start to finish.
  • Partner closely with Tydo’s content, growth, product, and partner teams to align on content calendar. Manage social channels around important company product announcements, issues, and content drops.
  • Collaborate with world class founders, operators, and partners to help Tydo engage with the DTC/e-commerce community via Slack, Discord, Twitter, etc. and cover relevant in-person and remote events.
  • Actively build, track, and manage a community of customers, fans, and influencers, proactively creating campaigns to engage with them on deeper levels.
  • Setup social listening for keywords and target audiences and use insights to constantly be a part of the right conversations, reporting insights back to the larger marketing team.
  • Research and identify growth opportunities across new platforms, niche communities, groups, etc. Create and test original social content in various formats including video/audio clips, screenshots, charts/graphs, diagrams, Twitter threads, etc.
  • Report weekly on social growth, engagement, and key conversations to the larger marketing team and use those insights to drive Tydo's larger content strategy.
  • Adapt voice and playbooks for different channels and key audience segments within them. Create social media playbook that is maintained and communicated throughout the company.
  • Work with the customer support team to create processes around customer service inquiries via social media.

About You

  • You are passionate about the DTC/E-commerce, Analytics and SaaS.
  • You have 1+ years of social media experience in any of the following industries: DTC, emerging technologies, analytics, product marketing, business or SaaS (if you don’t have experience all of these, we’d still want to hear from you).
  • You like the idea of taking a consumer-focused approach to B2B content and you are active and/or up to date on emerging platforms where the DTC operator is active: Twitter, Slack, Discord, Instagram, TikTok and more.
  • You're a strong communicator with excellent writing skills. You pay attention to detail, and you have the ability to write in an engaging, informative, and clever tone.
  • You have an eye for design, and you can speak creative. This means you can brief and provide feedback to designers and creatives. Major plus if you have design experience of your own or know Figma.
  • You find purpose in community, connecting people with others in a way that fosters learning, positivity and growth, both digitally and IRL. A natural and thoughtful conversation-starter, you have a social IQ beyond your years.
  • A true self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing your own priorities and adapting where challenges and opportunities are commonplace. You are enthusiastic about remote work.
  • You have the ability to get up to speed on a new topic very quickly and you have a deep curiosity and drive to master new subject areas in order to produce work that resonates authentically with the customer. You're always learning.
  • You’re a strong analytical thinker that understands there can be a thrilling story found within data and you are excited with the prospect of communicating these stories to sophisticated audiences in creative ways.
  • You have a profoundly collaborative mindset and approach to work. You recognize that, especially as we continue to define our team structure, roles are somewhat fluid. You are willing to pitch in outside of your direct job description and become an expert in new areas.

Why this role is unique

  • Combination of DTC + SaaS - You get the best of both worlds: B2C and B2B. We aren’t your typical SaaS company in that we are catering to people who understand how to market to consumers REALLY well. So we get to be experts in both.
  • Core to Growth - Content marketing, while it's own function within our marketing team, is a key growth lever that provides a broader network effect across all marketing efforts. Your role is key to the success of the marketing program at large.
  • Inside View Of Leading Companies - This role is an interesting way to get an inside view of strategies from leading DTC companies. You will get to learn from leaders, understand trends across the industry, and become a knowledge expert in growing industries like DTC, e-commerce, analytics, performance marketing and machine learning.
  • Tydo Network - The role will contribute to the Tydo community of tech partners and DTC brands, likely interfacing with some of the coolest founders and operators out there.
