We seek a construction Site Superintendent with a deep commitment to building sustainable and resilient homes and communities. Your diverse lived experience is desired within our team. What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in both new, single and multifamily construction required in a previous role as Site Supervisor or Site Superintendent
  • High-school diploma or equivalent required
  • Relevant college degree or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of health and safety practices in residential construction required
  • OSHA health and safety training highly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading building and structural plan sets
  • Understanding of the local jurisdictional inspection process for new single and multifamily construction
  • Ability to read and understand the construction project schedule
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using computers and mobile devices to perform work in the field
  • Aptitude for learning new construction technologies and practices
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
  • High degree of professionalism required with exceptional communication skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent travel between job sites during the day

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Specific

  • Work in partnership with the Construction Project Manager to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and that meet our quality standards
  • This position includes supervision of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Plan and Perform Quality Control Inspections at all critical junctures of the project to ensure all work is performed in alignment with the company’s safety and quality standards
  • Supervise the daily activities of all subcontractors and confirm the work is performed in a manner that is compliant with the Master Services Agreement and Project Subcontract Agreement
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with all health and safety requirements
  • Notify the project manager of any potential deviations to the schedule, change orders, safety violations, and issues pertaining to the quality of work
  • Post digital daily project logs to include photos that summarize the activities of the day for each project
  • Provide onsite direction for Company Site Supervisor Trainee’s, Field Associates and contracted labor
  • Develop and maintain an action plan for ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly site

Process Improvement as Site Superintendent

  • Participate and engage with the construction team during the annual review and improvement of Quality Control Processes
  • Collect feedback from the site teams in advance of the annual review for site process improvement
  • Engage in process improvement as both a participant and representative for the site teams

Leadership and Personal Development

  • Co-Create and maintain training plan for Site Supervisors & Field Associates with Support from VP of Construction or assigned partner within the Construction Team
  • Provide ongoing mentorship for Site Supervisors & Field Associates

Position and hours: 

  • This is a non-exempt and hourly, full-time position, working primarily outdoors on job sites throughout Seattle, with some time spent in our office or warehouse.
  • This position involves frequent and repetitive movement, including lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and benefits:

  • Starting hourly rate between $46.00-50.00
