The team
Awtomic is a VC and YCombinator (YC S20) backed startup. The founding team worked closely at Eventbrite, where they led teams building eCommerce integrations (Checkout) and website builder technology. We’re a global (remote friendly), cross functional team of Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers that values craft and intuitive experiences that our customers love. The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced, full-stack engineer who is passionate about their work and looking to drive large initiatives at an early stage venture. This role allows you to make a huge impact on the lives of our customers—merchants and shoppers alike. We use a modern, Javascript-based technology stack and follow an agile, consistent delivery approach to product development.

Responsibilities
- Develop and architect impactful products and features our customers use on a daily basis
- Work closely with the cross-functional leadership team to plan, define requirements, and implement specifications of each feature
- Drive technical reviews to ensure designs efficiently meet product requirements and describe an optimal implementation
- Help scope team projects into well-defined milestones to incrementally deliver improvements
- Provide technical leadership in domain areas
- Mentor and develop engineering teammates
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of software development experience in rapid product development building responsive web pages using a combination of HTML, CSS3, and Javascript (ES6)
- 4+ years of experience in React and NodeJS
- Experience in developing SaaS applications and Consumer products
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently
Bonus points
- Experience building Shopify applications and familiar with Shopify APIs and Liquid code
- Experience with building for eCommerce platforms
- Experience with build chain tools like Webpack, Gulp, Grunt, and Yarn
- Interest and ability to learn new coding languages as needed
- Experience in human-computer interaction, accessibility guidelines, and a passion for delighting users
