Senior Software Engineer

We're building a soft real-time shopping comprehension engine in order to provide customers with a seamless checkout experience. We're looking for someone passionate about software development and production engineering to help perfect and scale our system. We deploy a variety of algorithms to the cloud in a live-inference setting with high-throughput demands and must do so in a scalable, efficient way for all of our stores. This role is a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of building systems and tools that empower machine learning at scale.

As a successful Software Engineer at Standard Cognition, you will design and build high-quality production systems that drive key improvements to our machine learning inference system. Additionally, this role interacts with our research team members to drive a culture of high quality code, testing, and documentation. If this sounds like fun, we'd love to hear from you!

This is a FULL-TIME remote role located anywhere in the United States.

What you'll do here:

Design distributed systems for soft real-time data processing Build tools for Production System Monitoring, Profiling, and Instrumentation Engineer robust and fault-tolerant systems that meet high availability demands Collaborate with our research team to scale and productionize machine learning algorithms

Who you are:

You are experienced in backend and production engineering You are proficient in Python and are capable of working autonomously. You have experience with cloud build, deployment, and orchestration tools You communicate clearly and possess the ability to work cross-functionally with other team members You are able to problem solve in a flexible manner Only meet some of these traits or experiences?
