Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure

As an early engineer to join our team, you'll have the opportunity to materially impact and scale not just the company's product but also the team and the culture. You'll get to drive key product initiatives end to end, and work alongside exceptionally strong co-workers who learn quickly and ship quality work.

Your role

You’ll join a small-yet-mighty team of 14 as an engineering lead and help build core parts of the infrastructure. This will involve:

• Working closely with many engineers across product, backend, and machine learning and gaining a broad understanding of infrastructure requirements

• Building a scalable data infrastructure that allows Dashworks to ingest, process, and store Terrabytes of data from 40+ third-party SaaS applications

• Building the production search infrastructure that allows Dashworks to fetch, rank, and serve search results in real-time

• Building the developer infrastructure that allows engineers to ship at a blazing-fast speed: contributing to deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability

• Help new hires with onboarding and continuously improve the Infrastructure onboarding experience

• Being an experienced voice in defining engineering direction, culture and roadmap

• Being hungry for responsibility, growth, and impact

You qualify if you have:

• 3+ years of experience building large-scale data infrastructure with technologies such as Spark, Flink, Beam, Dask, Airflow, Dagster, etc.

• 1+ years experience with Terraform and AWS

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres

• Experience building infrastructure monitoring and alerting

• Ability to quickly learn new frameworks/technologies and move across the stack when necessary

Interview Process

1. 30 min chat for us to learn about your ideal role, and past technical achievements, and for you to learn about our vision, current stage, and next milestones

2. Two 1 hour-long technical interviews involving system design, coding, and debugging

3. 30-minute interview to see if we have a mutual cultural fit

4. Chatting with two of your references: your previous coworkers/managers. We offer you to chat with our references as well: investors, advisors, customers

5. Offer: 3 alternatives with a range of equity and base compensation options. We’ll also answer all your questions about business, finances, cap table, engineering, and anything else you need to make this life-changing decision (for both you and us!)
