What You Will Do
Review business requirements, specifications, technical design documents and prototypes in order to eliminate potential predevelopment issues.
Utilize QA best practices, patterns, and processes through all the stages of SDLC. Maintain traceability of tests to requirements and specifications.
Conduct regression testing while tracking quality measurements and product improvements.
Develop QA standards and processes and analyze system specifications.
Develop effective strategies and test plans while executing test cases (manual).
Evaluate product code according to specifications.
Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
Report bugs and errors to development teams.
Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
What You Have Done
5+ years of proven experience manually testing web applications and web forms required.
Hands on in using scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript and working in AWS environment.
Passionate about science and building solutions to make the data more accessible to the end-users.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Analytical problem-solving skills applied to issue. identification and resolution.
Experience working in a start-up environment highly preferred.
Experience managing all stages of manual testing: unit testing, integration testing, system testing, user acceptance testing and release / deployment testing.
Familiar and comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Regression testing experience.
Excellent documentation skills.
Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude and strong organizational skills.
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred.
