The Role: Flutterwave is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager to support our Risk Team.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the company's risk management and compliance strategy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products and services comply with regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional value to our customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead the development and execution of the risk management and compliance strategy for Flutterwave's products and services.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and identify potential areas of vulnerability.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, compliance, and engineering teams, to address regulatory requirements and mitigate compliance risks.
• Stay informed about industry regulations and market trends related to risk management and compliance.
• Work closely with product development teams to integrate risk management and compliance requirements into product roadmaps and feature development.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and compliance initiatives and recommend improvements as needed.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the risk and compliance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Required competency and skillset to be a waver:
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field, preferably in the fintech industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including but not limited to KYC, AML, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing risk management and compliance programs.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess risks effectively.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or CRCM are desirable.
• Deep understanding of fintech trends, technologies, and user experience principles.
• Experience working in an agile development environment is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams.
