About the role:

Given that Instrumentl’s strong product-market fit and traction in the non-profit sector, we’re looking to launch additional new complementary products to deliver even more value to our customer base. As a Senior Product Manager at Instrumentl, you’ll be exploring, validating, launching and growing new products that complement the Instrumentl’s Core Product. Your business impact will be measured by the cross-sell revenue driven by the new products you launch.

This role reports to Instrumentl’s Head of Product, Ishita Arora, and will be working closely with Instrumentl co-founder, Angela Braren.

Our ideal candidate:

  • A seasoned “full-stack” product manager: You comfortably traverse the product stack–whether it’s defining a set of product hypotheses we want to validate or zooming in at the 1 inch view to ensure we’ve thought through all the key edge cases for the MVP of a feature.
  • Leads product ideation inspired by a multitude of sources: You’re talented at translating market insights from a variety of sources (competitive landscape, Instrumentl opportunities and product engagement, customer feedback) into new product ideation.
  • High ownership and high agency: Your past teammates would describe you as proactive, high velocity, and high ownership. You’ve never uttered the words “that’s not my job” when it’s about getting a feature over the finish line.
  • Customer-obsessed: You believe customers are the hero of the story, and integrate customer feedback throughout the product development process–whether it’s teaming up with design to conduct user research or synthesizing customer insights from sales and customer success calls.
  • Cross-functionally collaborative: You excel at fostering relationships across the organization, from engineering and design to sales, marketing, and customer success because you understand that the best solutions come from the intersection of different perspectives, and you harness this collective wisdom to drive the product forward.

  • 6+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS (with at least 2 years of experience working on a 0-1 product, whether it’s as a former founder, first PM at a company, or working on a new product within a larger company.)
  • Strong leadership skills surround net-new product development–you’re comfortable being the pace-setter for ambiguous, early-stage products, and will establish a high velocity of insight seeking and validaton even at the beginning of a 0-1 exploration.
  • 0 to 1 strategic thinking skills for new product ideation, hypothesis testing, and defining MVPs.
  • Excellent communication skills that flex based on whether you’re presenting product strategy to the leadership team, working with sales on positioning a feature, or digging into a technical challenge with engineering.

Bonus points (if any of these apply, please highlight in your application!):

  • You’ve built products for non-profits, small businesses or other users who are not always the most technologically-savvy.
  • You have deep experience in the non-profit sector (particularly around grant management.)
  • You're a former founder.
  • A product “portfolio” that dives into the complex B2B SaaS problems you’ve worked on in your career.
