About the Role
Dialect is hiring its first Product Manager to lead the development of our entire product line. This is a zero to one, category defining product, & you will lead it.
You may be a good fit for this role if you have a galactic vision for a seamless actions layer on the internet, & atom-splitting attention to detail to will it into existence.
This position offers competitive compensation, including salary, equity, and benefits package commensurate with experience and location. This role requires being onsite in New York City one or two days a week.
Responsibilities
- You will work with the leadership, engineering, and design teams at Dialect to create an entirely new product category: tools that developers will fall in love with, & will use to delight their users with magical new experiences.
- You will help drive the what, the why, the how, & the when of our product cycle: what are we building, why are we building it, how do we go about building it, & when are we launching it.
- You will interface with customers & developers externally to collect feedback & turn it into a coherent product vision & roadmap.
- You will work with design to translate your vision into pixel-perfect materials ready for development.
- You will work with the engineering team to bring that vision to production, & own the delivery of the end result.
- You will close the product loop with customers & help define, & measure, key metrics for success.
- You will work to align the team daily, weekly & monthly on our vision & strategy as we discover this new product category.
Requirements & Skills
- You have 5+ years of experience in Product Management for developer tools or other technical products, or 3+ years if you also have a background in engineering that involved unique interdisciplinary responsibilities. Or: surprise us with something about you that makes you uniquely qualified for this role.
- You have an ownership mindset. You take responsibility & you find solutions.
- You believe in the sacred insight of the customer, and seek it out incessantly, daily. You also understand that this insight must be internalized & absorbed into a coherent product vision, not blindly followed.
- You are online. You understand that customer feedback comes through all kinds of channels, including X, Discord, and other community forums.
- You are a commander of process, not its subject. We are a small, highly competent team, we move quickly, & we believe that every team must strive to create as little process as necessary, but no less.
