Responsibilities
- Find new high-potential categories for Whatnot
- Test and help drive success in these categories
- Once established, help build out team and transition to new category
- Reach out and partner with large sellers and influencers to get them to sell on Whatnot
- Onboard new sellers to Whatnot and set them up for success on the platform
- Monitor key KPIs and regularly hit key company goals
- Stay close to sellers and buyers in the ecosystem to understand user needs and provide the engineering team with key user insights and problems to solve
- Be an internal advocate for buyers and sellers in the vertical and ensure we are solving for their pain points
Requirements
- You are passionate about collectibles and the creator community
- 5+ Years works experience in a fast paced environment including startup experience
- You are hungry, scrappy and flexible enough to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
- You’re incredibly analytical and have experience with SQL
- You are a strategic and creative thinker who can turn research and data into actionable plans
- You possess excellent communication and organization skills
- You are comfortable moving fast in an ambiguous work environment with little guidance
- You have significant partnerships and marketing experience
- You are comfortable with change. This is a fast growing, and adapting startup -- what you do today may not be what you do tomorrow
- You have experience working on a marketplace or two-sided platform where you’ve had to balance the needs of multiple parties
