We are looking for our first full-time full-stack engineer. Depending on experience and milestones, the role could transition into that of CTO or Head of Product and Technology.
We're backed by Y Combinator (class of winter 2019) and are founded by [Snigdha Sur] (https://www.linkedin.com/in/snigdhasur/), a Harvard Business School alum with deep experience in business and media (advised BuzzFeed, Quartz, Amazon Studios, Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine).
Who we’re looking for
You are an experienced and collaborative software engineer with proficiency in modern web development frameworks (React.js, Node.js, etc.). You have an eye for design, and can work with and improve upon existing UI/UX elements. You have strong product instincts, and can be an active player in designing and building products from the ground up in a user-centered way. You collaborate well and can communicate clearly and know when to get help. You write clean, maintainable, scalable code and develop, test, and iterate quickly.
What you’ll do
You will work with the CEO to define the product vision and roadmap, such as introducing commenting/upvoting, event management, and improving user flow to improve subscription conversion. You will assess business and product requirements and propose viable solutions that account for scale and performance. As the first engineering hire, you will establish engineering processes and coding standards.
