ABOUT DECENT
At Decent we are building fan-artist relationships that extend beyond patronage. We are putting artists and fans on the same team to enable new forms of funding, marketing, and discovery within the music industry. The same way that platforms like Spotify democratized distribution and global audiences for musicians, we want to democratize value capture and monetization opportunities for artists and their fans.
The founding team is composed of Princeton & Brown graduates with deep experience in music, media, and crypto. We’re also supported by advisors including but not limited to: one of the Founding Engineers at Uniswap, Lava Records, Blockchain Creative Labs, and Palm Tree Crew (Kygo's record label).
With over 10 artists released so far, and hundreds of artists on our waiting list, we can't wait to redefine the music value chain.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced front-end engineer to help us continue to scale and better our platform functionality. As a UI leader for a consumer-facing web3 company, you'll be responsible for making the user experience as seamless and easy to adopt as possible. We aspire to be the onramp for the next 10 million crypto users.
We're all about shipping fast, experimenting, and building nothing but the BEST product and experience we can for our users. We’re passionate about the Ethereum and music ecosystems, and ideal candidates are those excited to push the boundaries of current realities in each industry.
As we are early stage, you will also inform product decisions, and will be involved heavily with product management and UX research. This role has the potential to become a leadership position (e.g., Head of Design, Head of Eng) in the next 3-6 months, as Decent grows.
ABOUT YOU
First & foremost, we're looking for entrepreneurial candidates who are excited to tackle novel challenges each day and are motivated by the vision of reinventing the music industry via web3.
Ideal skills for Front-End Engineer hires: BS in Computer Science or similar field of study, 2+ years of experience building decentralized applications (internships & independent projects included!), & major bonus points if you have 1+ years of experience in product design or UI/UX research.
