Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate FP&A/Product Development

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Astranis, you will have exposure to a broad range of FP&A and product cost responsibilities. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded finance professional who is detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and independent. This person understands that data is their best friend and has the skills to find it, analyze it and communicate it. This is an opportunity to work on a lean Finance team and to make an immediate impact in a fast-scaling Space startup.

Role:

  • Play a major role in forming the budgeting and forecasting process that will drive key decisions and strategy for a scaling startup. This person will own forecasting for company headcount, operating, and capital expense
  • Build and enhance the company’s financial reports, metrics/dashboards and business analyses that impact day-to-day operations
  • Establish close working relationships with business owners to support decision making and budgetary reviews
  • Support the company’s product development process. Partner with supply chain, program management, and engineering to establish cost targets and continue to update program changes/requirements throughout the R&D process
  • Lead financial planning system implementation, design, and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
  • 2+ years of prior startup experience
  • Previously partnered with hardware and software R&D orgs. Solid understanding of the product development cycle
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and influence/drive change cross-functionally
  • Experience with GAAP; ability to understand cash/accrual differences
  • Bonus: experience with Adaptive Planning, Netsuite and/or data visualization solutions
  • Above all, you must be a good person
