Senior Electrical Engineer (PE required) - BIRMINGHAM

Fleetzero is hiring an experienced and creative Senior Electrical Engineer (Electrical PE required) to own the development and integration of our high voltage marine power systems. The Senior Electrical Engineer will own the overall power distribution, bussing, circuit protection, switching, and more within our marine propulsion system and will work as a part of a collaborative engineering team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Responsibilities and qualifications

• Electrical PE required
• Professional experience with basic circuit design, troubleshooting, and analysis required
• Professional experience with component, wire & busbar selection, protection, and switching required
• Experience with high voltage systems is highly valued
• Experience with marine or industrial electrical standards highly valued (NFPA, NEC, IEC, ABS, ASTM, IEEE, UL)
• Experience with 46 CFR Subchapter J (USCG marine electrical) is highly valued but not expected
