Who we are:
Zendar is creating a high-resolution radar imaging system that has resolution similar to lidar, allowing cars to see in inclement weather. We want to change the role of radar in the autonomous driving sensor stack and demonstrate that radars can take on many of the functions of lidar at a much lower cost and in all weather conditions. Zendar's technology fuses data streams from multiple sensors to build a more accurate scene and utilizes machine learning to predict likely environmental scenarios and provide situational awareness. All of this works in an embedded AI processor with tight latency and performance guarantees to deliver reliable sensing and perception.
Zendar was founded in the San Francisco Bay area, at the very heart of one of the most advanced regions in the development of autonomous vehicles technologies. We also opened an office in South Germany to capitalize on the decades of experience in the automotive radar industry of the area, and are setting up a new office in Paris.
Zendar has a diverse and dynamic team of electrical, mechanical, RF, algorithms and software engineers with deep background in sensing technology. Zendar is backed by Tier-1 VCs, has raised more than $25M in funding and has established strong partnerships with industry leaders. Our team has more than doubled in number over the last year as our technology has gained traction in the automotive and agriculture industries.
Who you are:
You are a seasoned DevOps engineer who will own our build and production environments using a combination of cloud and on-prem infrastructure. Some of the things you will work on:
We collect 20TB of data a month and need a scalable solution for processing and training our ML pipeline in the cloud.
Our team has doubled in size in 2022 and we need to look ahead at how we structure our CI pipeline.
We also need a way to manage our stored database of acquisition sets and an efficient way to filter the data based on radar configuration, vehicle id, test track ran, and other criteria.
Our compute units are shipped across the world and we want a robust solution to manage updating customer devices remotely.
What we look for:
4+ years experience in developing DevOps solutions
Experience with relevant technologies and tools like Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, Docker, Ansible, Terraform
Proficiency with scripting languages, such as python and bash.
Experience with CMake and/or similar build environments
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
