muzmatch is the biggest dating and marriage app for Muslims, but we've still got a way to go! We need a smart, ambitious, and experienced data scientist, with real entrepreneurial flair to join our Data Science team in helping us understand and serve our users even better.
Position: Full-time
Location: London, UK / Hybrid Remote
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + Equity
We're looking for:
- You'll be joining a dynamic Data Science team whose goal is to grow the company exponentially as we expand into new markets around the world.
- You'll be understanding our user behaviour on the platform with a view to generating actionable insights in terms of both product and marketing.
- You'll be responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining ML models that power core features of the product.
- You'll be close to the product - with insights making a real tangible impact to the mechanics of the product and how we do things with respect to revenue and engagement.
- You'll be working with a close-knit team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers to make this happen.
Requirements and skills needed:
- 4+ Years of commercial experience
- Strong Python knowledge — experience writing production-quality code is a must
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Experience in a production environment - version control, virtual environments etc
- Strong knowledge of common statistical methods and ML techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial mindset with the ability to harness customer insights to optimise our marketing and product
- Ability to work flexibly, be organised and manage multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to work collaboratively
Nice to have:
- Experience with AWS (EC2/S3/Redshift)
- Experience with Airflow
- Experience with recommender systems
