We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who can take a leading role in developing the next generation of Tavus synthetic media services. From voice cloning to security- we have a wide array of missions that require cutting edge solutions. That's where you fit in- yes you. Our ideal partner-in-crime works well in startup environments, is comfortable wearing many helmets, and is always down to take calculated risks. We're moving fast and not looking for people to come along for the ride - we're looking for people to pave the path.

Your Mission 🚀
- Will build the next generation of Tavus synthetic media services
- Own backend services across our platform
- Be part of a small team of engineers building products that drive security, reliability and scalability
- Set the bar at a company level for testable, observable, production-quality code
- Improve our existing technical foundations, and influence our technical direction and strategy
About You
- Self starter who is extremely hardworking, motivated, and most importantly, eager to learn
- Deep experience working in Python and NodeJS
- Intrinsic motivation and the drive to solve difficult problems without guidance
- Ability to prioritize in a chaotic and ambiguous environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A love for building, especially novel product experiences
Additionally, having some of the following experiences may help you be successful in this position:
- Machine Learning experience is a plus, but not required (anything related to GAN, audio or video synthesis or general ML)
- Alternatively, audio/video engineering experience would be a plus
- Experience refactoring code
- Understanding of what makes bad code (anti-patterns, cyclomatic complexity, cognitive complexity, ...)
- Has played Portal 1 and 2 (if not you'll need to play as part of onboarding 😄)
