Job Summary:
The Senior Accounts Executive is responsible for handling both internal accounting and potential external client service duties. This role requires a well-rounded individual with strong financial and analytical skills, as well as the ability to provide high-quality services to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal Accounting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
- Provide financial data and insights to support the decision-making processes of the management team.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
- External Client Service:
- Provide accounting and advisory services to select clients, including financial reporting, tax planning, and consulting.
- Communicate effectively with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Assist clients in the preparation and filing of tax returns, as well as other compliance-related tasks.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices to provide valuable insights to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
- Thorough understanding of the full set of accounts.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Xero, Microsoft Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
