Security Operations Engineer
Astranis is looking for security operations professionals with experience building out logging and detection frameworks, and experience in incident response. You will work with both corporate and mission critical systems to monitor our systems and hunt for potential threats.
Role:
- Build out logging and detection facilities across our fleet of systems.
- Deploy new systems and engineer new solutions to detect potential threats to the enterprise and the mission.
- Build out playbooks for incident response and digital forensics.
- Monitor for potential threat trends which may be attributable to broader campaigns against Astranis and its employees.
- Participate in incident response.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience in the field
- Experience in security operations.
- Experience with SIEM technologies, including setting up logging across Windows, Mac OSX or Linux systems.
- Experience building detections for potential threats.
- Able to perform duties autonomously without much supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Bonus:
- Active US Government security clearance
- Experience with malware analysis.
- Previous experience assessing the security of space systems, sensors, telemetry, tracking and control (TT&C) systems
