We are seeking a Security Engineer to work with our product team to design and build secure systems through engineering. Our Security Engineer will:

Develop new tooling for active intrusion/vulnerability detection

Triage incoming bug reports from our security portal and perform internal audits of application security

Manage our security incident responses and keep standard operating procedures up to date as our technology stack matures
About you

Basic understanding of various security topics, such as risk management, intrusion detection, vulnerability management, security-first architecture and data protection

Strong communication skills - interaction with the rest of the company and clear explanations of security expectations or policies is critical to overall security

Ability to look long term and plan for growth in both policy and tooling decisions, balancing security with business objectives

Eager to take ownership of systems and driven to automate and improve security processes
Experience
-
At least 2 years experience in a cyber security related role.

Experience in building and maintaining security systems.

Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.

Some experience with software development is preferred, language agnostic
Compensation

$125,000 - $150,000 + Stock options
