Airwork is solving Canada’s labour shortage. We’re building an on-demand marketplace that connects local businesses with frontline workers on a flexible basis. Think “Uber for hourly workers”.

Our revenue grew an average of 500% every month over Q1 2023! As a result, we’re now hiring our first go-to-market specialist to keep up with growth. This is a 0-1 opportunity, you’ll literally be building the sales department.

SDR #1 will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and directly supporting the CEO to fuel Airwork’s growth. We’re starting in the Greater Toronto area with the warehousing, manufacturing, events, retail, and hospitality industries, but plan to expand across the country, the continent, and the world.

Airwork was founded by Gary Lin (ex-software engineer at Facebook, Yelp, NVIDIA) in 2022. We’re backed by YCombinator (W22 batch), Expa (cofounder of Uber), Village Global (Reid Hoffman, Bezos, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg are LPs), and Sahil Lavingia (founder of Gumroad).

💼 Responsibilities 💼

  • Your sole responsibility is to drive revenue at Airwork as fast as possible without increasing churn (ie: ensuring long-term customer satisfaction)
  • In the beginning, you’ll follow an existing sales framework to initiate cold outbound email/phone calls/door-to-door visits
  • Schedule and conduct initial demos
  • Schedule follow up chats on the CEO’s calendar to close deals
  • Consistently update records in our CRM
  • Consistently move fast and iterate on our sales framework to maximize conversion and ACV

✅ Requirements ✅

  • Must be Toronto-based or willing to relocate to Toronto
  • 2+ years of proven experience as an SDR or AE
  • Must have hit quotas for over 80% of all quarters in career
  • Experience working in at least one early/mid-stage startup (<50 employees) OR a staffing firm
  • Familiarity with Sales CRMs (Salesforce, Hubspot, Zoho, Pipedrive) and email outbound lead gen tools (ZoomInfo, Apollo)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
