Laylo powers drops for some of the world’s biggest creators and brands. Drops have become the predominant marketing strategy for merch, tickets and content and we're building the leading CRM to power them. The platform combines landing pages, messaging, link tracking, and more to empower musicians, artists, celebrities, creators and brands with the tools to drive more sales and streams around their most important moments.

We’re building a next-generation marketing platform complete with drop campaigns, cross-platform messaging, landing pages, and link tracking –giving creators the power to own and activate their fanbase.

We’re looking for someone who: Has done some selling in the past and have the ability and desire to become great at sales Excellent verbal and written communication skills You want to win and you find motivation in temporary setbacks You don’t believe in settling, you find ways to overachieve and keep improving Your ability to learn is off the charts and you are hungry for more You love connecting with people online, on the phone, and face-to-face You’re naturally inquisitive and aren't afraid to ask questions.

What You’ll Do

Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify, research, and reach out to potential clients (creators, labels, brands, etc.) through a blend of cold calls, emails, social media, and inbound lead follow-ups.

Qualify Opportunities: Assess prospects’ needs, conduct discovery calls, and qualify leads to ensure a healthy pipeline for the Account Executive team.

Outbound Campaigns: Work with marketing and sales leadership to develop and refine targeted outreach strategies, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across channels.

Relationship Building: Serve as the first point of contact with prospective clients, effectively communicating Laylo’s value proposition and building strong rapport.

CRM Management: Maintain up-to-date records of interactions and pipeline stages in the CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), ensuring data accuracy and visibility for the broader sales team.

Market Insights: Gather market feedback and share insights on trends, competitor offerings, and prospect pain points to help shape Laylo’s product roadmap and go-to-market strategies.

Collaboration: Partner closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Product teams to continuously improve our sales process and craft compelling pitches.

What We’re Looking For

Proven Sales Drive: 1-2 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in SaaS, tech, or a creator-focused industry.

Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities; you’re comfortable leading discovery calls and crafting compelling outreach messages.

Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to handle rejection, pivot quickly, and maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Tech Savviness: Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot) and sales automation platforms. Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.

Organizational Excellence: Meticulous attention to detail, with strong prioritization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Team Spirit: A collaborative approach and eagerness to support your team members—strong interpersonal skills are a must.

Passion for Creators & Brands: You’re genuinely interested in helping creators, musicians, and businesses grow their communities.

Our founders met while building competing consumer startups. We launched multiple products across consumer and SaaS and talked to thousands of fans and creators in the process. In 2020, we realized one of the biggest pain points artists and events face is actually driving their audience from socials into their own CRM.

In 2020, we joined Y Combinator’s summer batch and began building a product that quickly gained strong early traction. We raised from top-tier investors like Eldridge and Sony and have since grown into a team of 17 exceptional individuals spanning product, sales, and operations.

Today, we power drops to millions of fans for some of the biggest names in music, live events, and sports. We’re on a mission to build the next generation of entertainment marketing, helping creators connect with fans like never before.

We have a strong written documentation culture, leveraging Notion to share ideas and record processes and learnings. We try to do as much as possible asynchronously to move quickly and efficiently. We have a daily 30 minute standup and weekly hour long all hands.
