Role at a Glance
Gecko Robotics is a developer of robotics systems (hardware and software) to automate the evaluation of physical infrastructure in a variety of applications. Our platform allows for more comprehensive inspections than traditional methods and enables an unprecedented understanding of asset health while reducing risk.
As a Sales Development Associate (SDA), you will be responsible for helping our customers understand our unique value proposition. Additionally, you will work with others on your team to generate new business opportunities by identifying key accounts and asset owners through systematic prospecting, diligent research, and continuous communication.
What you will do
- Qualify and pursue target customer profiles to ensure we are doing business with the right people
- Utilize prospecting tools, including outbound calls and emails, to coordinate and book meetings with potential customers
- Uncover and investigate potential client pain points and map them to Gecko solutions
- Prioritize your time to focus on high-value opportunities through creating custom target reports while maintaining a high-quality sales pipeline
- Prepare and process quotes, purchase orders, and invoices as needed
- Maintain the CRM data hygiene with daily updates of opportunities, contacts, account activity, and sales forecasting
- Achieve and/or exceed revenue targets
About You
- Proven success in a sales position, including sourcing and qualifying leads
- Business, economics, engineering, or sciences degree
- Experience with CRM systems and/or RFP software
- Ability to articulate and translate solution offerings to audiences with varying levels of technical skills and seniority
- A quick learner with natural curiosity who is willing to source for new business without perfect information
- Ability to travel 25%-50% of the time (depending on role), often to remote locations where power plants, refineries, and other industrial sites are located
