The Team

At Mayan, we build innovative tech products that create significant competitive advantages for our customers. The Role

As a Reinforcement Learning Scientist at our company, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced machine learning models to optimize the performance of our most important feature. You will work closely with our data scientists, and product and engineering teams to understand the specific requirements and constraints of the feature, and use your expertise in Reinforcement Learning to find the best solutions. This is a consulting/internship position with the possibility of a long-term contract depending on the success of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement advanced Reinforcement Learning models to optimize feature performance
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and constraints
• Provide critical analysis on the viability of the preferred solution to stakeholders
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the models to ensure they meet the desired outcomes
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research in Reinforcement Learning and incorporate new techniques as appropriate

Qualifications:

• PhD or Master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Strong experience in Reinforcement Learning and its applications
• Experience with Python and one or more machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn
• Experience with open source reinforcement learning environments and libraries like openAI gym, Keras-RL or Tensorforce
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Enjoys translating state of the art research papers to code
