Product Manager

GovTech’s LifeSG product aims to offer a simplified, citizen-centric experience, to help users navigate across the multitude of government services and websites. Personalization and anticipating the user’s needs are key so that we build meaningful solutions for users. Some features we are working on include helping citizens through this time of economic uncertainty and improving our personalization capabilities.

What you will be working on:

The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing the conceptualization, development, product roll-out, and continuous improvement of a set of product features. Throughout the process, the PM will also need to ensure that the product is operating within the budget allocated.

• Conceptualization: PM will need to study and lay down clearly the problems that the product feature needs to address. Thereafter, the PM should work closely with business analysts and UX designers to research and design the product feature. A proper cost-benefit analysis should also be performed to assess the feasibility of the product.
• Development: PM will work closely with the development team, translating the design concept into a working product. This is done in an iterative manner, starting from a minimum viable product, and scaling it iteratively while testing at each stage to ensure that the product meets its objective.
• Product roll-out: PM will collaborate with the rest of the PM for the product to identify suitable milestones to launch the product feature. The PM will also have to discuss and strategize the product go-to-market process. When relevant, the PM will have to work with colleagues from the Communications and Marketing Group, riding on various publicity channels to launch the product feature.
• Continuous Improvement: Post-launch, the PM will need to continue to monitor the usage and performance of the product to identify further opportunities for improvement. At an appropriate time, the PM should also be conscious of the product lifecycle, and plan ahead of the next generation of the product feature, addressing the evolving needs of users. 

What we are looking for:

• We are looking for someone who is proactive, with a strong aim to get things done. Building an experience that citizens love is hard work, where tenacity, perseverance, and willingness to debate and learn are meaningful.
• Proven product management experience in a fast-paced, agile environment working directly with engineers and designers (ideally at least 5 years)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven record of successfully delivering high-impact, complex projects while managing risks
• Demonstrated ability to be a key influencer in the team’s strategy
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related subject area is a bonus
• Experience with a consumer-facing product is a plus
