We're looking for a Product Designer who will work very closely with everyone on our small team of 8, help solve UX problems and create awesome designs that users love.
The product designer should be able to define the user experience, working alongside product management and engineering. The person in this role should be flexible and eager to work collaboratively. The Product Designer should always have a user experience-first approach to solving all business problems and continually identify new opportunities where we can deliver value to our users.
What You'll Do
Own the end-to-end design process of feature improvements and new features for Lovd (mobile app and website)
Work collaboratively with the whole team (especially product and engineering) to identify and develop thoughtful solutions across all user, product, and business problems
Be actively involved in strategy discussions as you will be a key contributor to reaching the company’s goals, success metrics, roadmap priorities
Connect regularly with users to hear about their experiences and set product direction - design and prototype multiple ideas quickly
Be ready to quickly change focus and change priorities to solve tension points in the funnel
Own all things Figma - keeping it organized and easy to use for the Product Manager and Engineers

Everyone on the team has their own role but jumps in to help wherever needed. For example, on any given day you will find our CEO doing deliveries or our Senior Program Manager handling customer service requests - we’re a close-knit team and do what’s needed to get stuff done.
What You'll Need
3+ years product design experience in a product or design-focused tech company
Early-stage start-up experience required - you will be expected to quickly get up to speed and contribute ideas right away
Experience performing all functions of the product design lifecycle, including user research, product strategy, wireframes, prototypes, documentation, and user testing
Ability to maintain visual and brand identity consistency between all products
Experience building/maintaining a scalable design system in Figma
Excellent communication skills - we are a small team and want you to make your opinion heard!
A compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates high-quality designs
Willingness to commute to our NYC office near Union Square - this is an in-person role
