Platform Engineer - SRE

The Role

In this role, you will:

1. Implement and support automated environment provisioning and container solutions with Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Services
2. Design and implement automated infrastructure solutions for our product platform
3. Design and implement application monitoring and alerting solutions to get issues to the right people at the right time
4. Remediate issues that impact the health and performance of our development, testing, and production systems and infrastructure
5. Diagnose and isolate issues at all layers of the stack, whether it be code or infrastructure, during development and in production
6. Design and implementation of automated code platform deployment solutions
7. Mentor and guide other best practices and provide thought leadership for the DevOps practice

What you bring:

1. 8+ years' experience in a DevOps, SRE, or IT Operations position
2. 2+ years’ experience implementing and supporting solutions with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services; preferable experience with the following
3. AKS & ACR
4. Traffic Manager, Application Gateway
5. Virtual Networking & VNET Peering
6. Azure VPN Configuration
7. Application Insights
8. SQL Server
9. 3+ years’ experience developing with scripting languages, preferably Microsoft Powershell
10. 2+ years' experience writing SQL queries and Stored Procedures
11. 2+ years' experience developing in .NET and C#
12. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling such as Azure ARM & Terraform desired state configuration.
13. Deep understanding of networking configuration as it relates to platform reliability
14. Experience with CI/CD concepts and tooling
15. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with product, operations, and development teams
16. Demonstrated ability to context switch while still delivering on commitments
17. Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and environments
18. Knowledge of full stack monitoring concepts and tooling from code to system resources
19. Experience with containerization design concepts and tooling
