Part-Time Assembly Technician

Here at Pirouette Medical (YC S21) we’ve developed a patented auto-injector that is as easy to use as pushing a button! Our auto-injector is also diversely applicable to additional drug applications.

We’re a Medical Device start-up looking for a part-time (30 hrs/wk) Assembly Technician to support our team with the assembly, development, and testing of our auto-injector

Position Description

The Assembly Technician will be reporting to our COO. They will be responsible for the assembly of our devices, organization of work stations, and inventory management for the devices and their components. This role has a possibility of converting into a full-time position.

Essential Duties

• Building sub-assemblies and fixtures.

• Post-processing 3D-printed parts.

• Evaluating and troubleshooting sub-assemblies and devices.

• Managing inventory (receiving, organizing, and discarding parts).

• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

• Promoting a safe working environment.

Required Education and Experience

• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions.

• Ability to use mechanical and electrical hand tools.

• Ability to implement safe work practices at all times.

• Ability to see and manipulate small parts.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Ability to travel locally to run errands.

• Experience with reading and following blueprints and/or engineering drawing.

• Experience working in a mechanical, hands-on environment.

• Communicates ideas, information, and recommendations clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written).

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Detail-oriented

• Organized

• Safety-minded

• Nice to have: Proficiency in MS Office and / or experience with medical device assembly

Location

• Portsmouth, NH (On-site). • 6 hours per day, 5 days a week (30 hours).

Relocation Assistance is not available for this position.

Compensation:

• $19-30/hr (Depending on experience) • Annual Bonus Eligible • Conversion to Full-time likely
