Technical Skills
• Understanding relational database concepts
• SQL (Queries, Analytical Functions, DML, DDL)
• PL/SQL
• SQL Developer / Toad
• SQL Performance Tuning
• Basic of Unix commands & shell script
• Oracle utilities (like SQL loader, Import/export, data pump etc.,)
• Migrating objects from one instance to another
• Any other programming skill is added advantage
• Experience in trouble shooting performance issues
Analysis / Relation Skills
• Plan, design, and implement application database code objects, such as stored procedures and views
• Assist in gathering business requirements and convert it into SQL stored procedures for database specific projects
• Work closely with developers, business analysts to define database involvement, test plans & test cases
• Build and maintain SQL scripts, indexes, and complex queries for data analysis and extraction
• Provide support as needed on all production operation activities
• May also be responsible for querying a database to generate reports or aggregate data for use by others
