DESCRIPTION
We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to join the People and Operations team at Circle Medical Technologies. As we continue to grow, we are constantly searching for exceptional talent to be a part of our team. This position may be based out of our Montreal, Quebec, San Francisco, CA offices or be remote in the U.S. for the right candidate.
As Operations Manager, you will work closely with our VP, People and Operations to implement strategic initiatives in a variety of key activities, including improvement of key processes, implementation of systems and structure, development of company and team productivity metrics, and project management. You will use your top-notch leadership and communication skills to convey project progress to the executive team, as well as our stakeholders.
Our managers thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, and are comfortable with wearing multiple hats to ensure smooth sailing. You will have the opportunity to mentor, guide and coach direct reports to expand their capabilities by adhering to human resources processes and procedures; this includes overseeing on-boarding, performance management reviews, recruitment activities, training, succession planning, transfers, promotions and salary increases.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Develop the operating budget by reviewing work requirements, schedules and costs reports
- Ensure profitability and quality of the product delivery
- Creatively solve problems to ensure optimum team efficiency
- Leverage internal company-wide resources and advocate, support and increase adoption of cross-departmental initiatives
- Ensure that the office and all professionals are fully compliant with all local, provincial, and national licensing and regulatory requirements
- Develop short and long-range operating objectives, policies and programs
- Ensure overall achievement of budgeted financial targets and other standards set forth in approved business plans
- Promote and ensure compliance with company policies and operating procedures
- Work with Legal Counsel to determine if changes to standard contracts/agreements are required
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, exiting local employees and performance levels in conjunction with the People Team
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 2+ years of experience in leadership and/or operational and process management
- Significant exposure to high level executive communications
- Proven success in conflict resolution
- Ability to plan, organize and manage processes
- Ability to read, comprehend and analyze P&L statements
- Proven ability to manage and monitor budgets
- Knowledge of HR practices recruitment, interviewing, hiring, employee relations and staff development
- Ability to manage employees and delegate workload
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, coordinating time and tasks
- High attention to detail
- Ability to understand and achieve fiscal targets and scope of work with proven success in forecasting and managing budgets and minimizing risk implications
- Ability to act as a mentor and skilled arbitrator with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

COMPENSATION
In alignment with our values, Circle Medical has transparent salaries based on location (San Francisco, Montreal, or remote in US), output levels, and options to trade cash for stock.
This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual salary (cash and stock combined) of $115,000 plus, generous vacation, full medical/dental benefits.
