Actipulse Neuroscience is a neurotech startup, backed by the Paris Brain Institute (ICM) and Y-Combinator. Founded in 2017, it specializes in non-invasive brain stimulation for the treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders.
We are currently running a Phase 3 study for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder, with a robust clinical pipeline for a variety of CNS disorders. Recently, Actipulse opened a French subsidiary, performing pre-clinical (in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo) studies in various types of cancers.

##Objectives of the role
Having recently opened a French scientific research office, we are looking for our first French-based hire, who will be responsible for designing and executing pre-clinical studies to evaluate the effects of non-invasive brain stimulation on various types of cancer, with a focus on developing experimental models for oncology research.
##Responsibilities
- Design and execute pre-clinical studies to evaluate the effects of non-invasive brain stimulation on various types of cancer
- Analyze and interpret data from in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo experiments
- Develop and validate new experimental models for oncology research
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance pre-clinical projects towards clinical development
- Search for new research opportunities with universities, research institutes and innovation clusters to clinically test our technology for different indications. These studies include in vitro/ex vivo, pre and clinical studies (P1 to P3)
##Qualifications
- Candidates must have a scientific training
- Only PhDs in related science or medicine fields will be consideredIndividuals that have completed their scientific training with an MBA or MSc. in management will be highly considered
- French, only C1 and C2 candidates will be considered
- English, only C1 and C2 candidates will be considered
- Spanish, is a plus to communicate with our Mexico City offices, but not mandatory
##Experience
- PhD in an Oncology related field
- Strong background in pre-clinical research, particularly in in vitro and in vivo models of cancer
- Experience with various laboratory techniques, such as cell culture, Western blotting, PCR, and others
- Having previously worked or been involved in medical research: laboratory, pre-clinical, or clinical research
- Having worked in a research cluster/ CRO/ university lab, and understand the management aspects from finding the right PI/laboratory, to managing the project and relationship with the scientific team

**Type of contract:**Full time contract (CDI)
Salary: €31,000 up to €42,000 euros/ year (gross salary), depending on qualifications and experience.
