About the position We’re looking for a talented and passionate team player who will design and develop the molecular biology underpinning of Loop Genomics’ DNA sequencing products. The ideal candidate is a dedicated and strategic individual who thrives in a fast-paced work environment, has a strong track record of developing state of the art methods for NGS products, and shares our passion to build technology to change the current paradigm of DNA sequencing. As a senior member of the team, you will contribute directly to the success and growth of the company.

Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer, responsibilities include: ● Contributing to the development of innovative experimental techniques for NGS sample preparation. ● Hands-on lab work, including both basic and advanced molecular biology duties involved with the development of NGS sample preparation technology. ● Hands on troubleshooting and problem solving molecular biology experiments. ● Working with team members to deliver results according to timelines, communicate progress and challenges, and ensure a successful delivery of product. ● Reviewing of NGS data to analyze your results. ● Observe safety policies and help to keep the lab orderly.

Qualifications ● PhD in experimental biology, preferably related to development/use of NGS related techniques
● Expertise and experience devising and developing wet lab NGS sample prep methods ● Deep knowledge of fundamental molecular biology techniques. ● Hands-on expertise with current molecular biology methods. ● Fluent in use of computers for DNA sequence manipulation, data organization, web-based sequence analysis tools and familiarity with public databases ● Self driven ● Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
