As an intern on the Mechanical Engineering Team, you will be responsible for projects that will contribute to the design and development of our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) products. Your role will involve applying mechanical engineering principles to optimize the performance, reliability, and overall efficiency of our cutting-edge energy storage solutions.
Project and Presentation:
As an intern at Moxion you will be assigned a specific project that aligns with your skills and academic focus. This hands-on experience aims to provide practical insights into your field of study. At the conclusion of the internship, interns will present their project findings, sharing key learnings and outcomes with the team.

What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with team members on day-to-day tasks and projects within Hardware Engineering.
- Undertake a designated project, taking ownership from inception to completion.
- Conduct research, gather data, and analyze information to contribute to project success.
- Engage in team meetings, providing updates on project progress and seeking feedback.
- Prepare and deliver a comprehensive presentation summarizing the internship project.
Skills to be successful:
- Currently enrolled in a college program, pursuing a degree in BSc or MSc OR Studying towards, or recently completed, a degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Energy Engineering with an interest in understanding the role of real world evidence in a manufacturing/tech start up setting.
- Student must be returning to school in the Fall Term OR have graduated within 1 year of the start of the program.
- Must be available to work 40 hours a week
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements. We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience. Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change.
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
