About Bountiful
Bountiful is a data analytics platform and ESG marketplace that connects the gray market crop value chain from farmer to buyer. Our goal is to modernize and bring transparency to gray market crops like almonds, grapes, and walnuts. Impacting why and how the value chain farms, markets, and buys these crops.
Some of the key data sets that power our data analytics platform include: satellite imagery, weather, geographical, and historical data sets. Using a data-agnostic approach, we leverage private and public data sets in conjunction with the latest machine learning techniques to provide yield forecasting, market, and sentiment intelligence to farmers, agribusiness, agriculture investment groups, and CPG companies.
We’re an agile team whose goal is to use the latest analytical methods, incubate new technologies and drive innovative ways to develop new opportunities making a significant and lasting impact in the specialty / gray market crop value chain.
Your Role
Drive our marketing efforts in several distinct areas.
- Our weekly newsletters sent out to our network
- Our monthly blog posts
- Social media outlets: LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook (2-4 times per week)
- Website (1-2 times a year)
Role Details
- Work closely with the CEO and Head of Product to understand our business model and approach.
- Create content and copy for our weekly newsletters that are grounded in technology and data. Work with the product team to develop weekly stories to tell about the almond, grape and walnut industries.
- Create content and copy for monthly blog posts on our Medium account. Similar to our weekly newsletters but longer form and more technically content. Work with the product team to develop.
- Create content both copy and media (images/video) for social media content multiple times a week. Schedule posts, follow ups, and responses. Keep track of key industry dates, growing stages and weather events.
Update company website copy and media. Work with the CEO and product team to refine website content and keep information updated. This includes Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
- Work with the product team on engagement analytics to develop KPIs for improvement and increased engagement. Develop strategic goals and marketing campaigns to be executed to provide more visibility in our respective industries.
- Potentially interface with customers and partners to gather content for marketing.
- Develop a basic understanding of the technology behind our product. Be familiar with agricultural technology products and how other products can be complementary to ours.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business, communications or marketing.
- Requirement to marketing experience specifically in the startup environment; 3+ years of experience. Ideally, in the agriculture or agriculture technology space.
- Self starter and self motivator; strengths in strategic thinking and executing.
- Creative mind.
- Excel under pressure.
- Social media savvy.
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
- Ability to quickly learn on the fly and apply.
