Railbird is seeking a Junior Market Regulation Analyst to assist in the surveillance and investigation of trade practices on the Exchange. As one of the early employees, you will be granted meaningful responsibility, a sizable equity stake, and an opportunity to shape the strategy and regulatory culture of the company. This position will report directly to the Chief Regulatory Officer.
Duties
- Communicate surveillance analyses and findings to department management and other members of the regulatory team.
- Conduct investigations in connection with monitoring of compliance with Exchange rules.
- Routinely engage market participants in conducting contract surveillance activities and case responsibilities.
- Monitor market participation, news and economic performance of related industries, and analyze key factors that drive the price of related contracts.
- Prepare written reports that are reviewed by management staff and, in situations involving material rule violations, presented to Exchange disciplinary committees.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Chief Regulatory Officer.
Required skills
- 2+ years experience, preferably working in a regulated industry or for an exchange, Broker Dealer (BD), Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) or similar organization.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to research, schedule, analyze and present findings.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a small-team environment with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
