About the role

As our ML Engineer, you will spearhead the development of the company’ core computational technology: AI & ML models designed specifically to leverage the unique structures of biological data. You will be working in our multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers to model complex biological processes, design state-of-the-art AI and solve some of the toughest problems in biology and medicine. Our goal is to beat cancer, and we need your help to make it happen! Key responsibilities will include: ● Designing, implementing, and testing ML and mathematical models of drug response.

● Working closely with biology and bioinformatics experts to pilot active learning data generation strategies and overcome pressing challenges in drug development.

● Working with the founders to build and maintain the company’s codebase.

● Contributing to the success of external partnerships by meeting with partners, understanding their needs, and implementing tools accordingly.

● Tracking recent technological advances in the ML and computational biology spaces.

● Showcasing work at top conferences & journals – scientific advancement is one of our central values at Serinus!

Desired qualifications

● A PhD or masters + 4 years of industry experience in related fields (computer science, electrical engineering, statistics, mathematics, etc.).

● Fluency with Python and ML related packages (Pytorch, Pandas, Scipy, Captum, etc.).

● Experience working with cloud computing interfaces.

● Excitement about complex problems, mathematics and biology.

● Some experience with biological data (next generation sequencing, medical records, etc.) would be great but is not required.

● True passion to help patients in need!
