PermitFlow is seeking a skilled, full-time / part-time UI/UX designer to work with the CEO and CTO. This position will be responsible for helping drive style guides, UI component libraries, and mockups for key features. Additionally, this role will help overhaul PermitFlow’s product experience, making what is a powerful permitting tool capable of handling very complex workflows simple, intuitive, and beautiful.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Engineering, Permit Operations, and Executive Teams to design internal and customer-facing desktop and mobile platforms
- Run user research sessions, usability testing sessions, and product analysis for actionable insight
- Plan and design interactive wireframes of new features and visual assets needed to implement those features
- Assess existing UX architecture and identify areas for improvement
- Iterate on features and edits to drive adoption and customer satisfaction
- Produce and refine instructional animations for our website, app, and knowledge base
- Help us design a really amazing permitting product that is not only beautiful, but works and scales
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with UX/UI Design
- Experience with Figma and Adobe product suite
- Experience building beautiful and inspiring product design experiences that help users discover and connect with resources they need.
- Self-starter mentality and relentless will to never settle
- Portfolio of at least 3 successfully completed projects
- You don’t cut corners and you build beautiful product designs that are polished and contribute seamlessly to user experience.
Bonus Points
- Experience with construction and/or building permits
- Experience in a start-up or the tech industry is preferred but not mandatory
