Lead Software Engineer Apps & Backend
We are looking for a lead software engineer to join our Koko engineering team who is excited about working on topics in the GenAI and IoT space, interacting with our Voice and sensor enabled hardware-technology. We'd like you to be curious and love the challenge of solving problems. You will be part of a core group that plays a direct role in determining company direction and ultimately the success of the product. The focus of the role is the front-end and backend development of our web/mobile apps as well as the data infrastructure to support our IoT devices.
Duties & Responsibilities
- This is a technical position and requires hands-on technical work
- Lead a small but dedicated team of web, mobile, backend and infrastructure developers
- Backend/Frontend and infrastructure planning, strategy and management
- Backend/Frontend and infrastructure system architecture
- Hands on contributions to our tech stack in TypeScript, React/Native, Java, Postgres, AWS
- In addition you will have the opportunity to learn and work on various parts of our product (embedded device, Gen AI, etc.)
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in either front-end or backend development
- Strong development experience in either React/React Native, native mobile app development, or backend development
- Experience managing effective engineering teams from a technical perspective
- Experience writing production ready code, preferably in a product based company
- Excellence at communicating ideas and collaborating in oral and written form with the team
