About the role
Hyper is looking for a head of creative with a deep understanding of culture and brand. You’ll set the direction of everything: from the external communication style and brand, to the production of creative collateral and assets, all the way down to editorializing and curating the type of content the community creates.
Ideally you have a portfolio of projects that demonstrate your expertise, have experience working at an agency, and have a hunger to build an amazing world-class brand from the ground up, touching every layer along the way.
💻 You'll develop our brand and universe from scratch, targeting users with exciting creative campaigns. You should have some experience producing visual collateral and assets on your own, as well as experience directing the production of visual assets in collaboration with others internally and externally.
⭐️ You should have a good eye for brand building and content creation to use our own on-platform content and UGC as tools to both grow the product and the brand.
📈 You should have an understanding of growth, products, and knowledge of various go-to-market strategies with an understanding of how each campaign ties into the greater goals of the company.
🔨 You should have agency experience and are accustomed to working on tight budgets while producing outsized results.
🌎 Hyper is ~7 people right now and we're fully remote, with a few folks in California. Written communication is extremely important due to our distributed nature, and you should be able to communicate your ideas, proposals, and decisions over the internet and in person.

Avatar content (also known as VTubing) has broken into the multi-billion-view-per-month category on places like Twitch and YouTube. This has given a new group of people the power to tell stories and present themselves on their own terms online while also protecting their IRL identities. Our goal is to build the largest platform tools for this new movement. We're now the #1 US VTubing app on iOS, and have recently released an AI platform where people can make their own characters for storytelling, motivation, and digital friendship.
