#What you’ll do
This is a unique opportunity to be an early employee at a rapidly growing, high-impact startup working with prestigious clients, including Stripe, Goldman Sachs, and the New York Stock Exchange.
Responsibilities
-Scope, design, and implement cloud data infrastructure, APIs, and services
-Specifically, design data science and NLP systems that deliver insights across a range of data sets, including web crawls, API feeds, and static risk indicators.
-Hide complexity from our users behind simple yet powerful abstractions
-Collaborate with engineers, data science, and product managers to deliver robust and comprehensive interfaces to risk monitoring and risk due diligence tools
-Influence the technical direction of Overwatch’s next generation platforms
#Who you are
Minimum requirements
-3+ years experience in backend engineering
-Preferred qualifications
-Fluency in Python, Django
-Familiarity with GCP, Data Engineering, Machine Learning
-A user-first mindset in everything they build
-Generate reusable code libraries
-Experience working at an early-stage startup and what is required to ship enterprise grade software
-Open communication skills — ask questions, assume good intentions, and default to transparency
-Pride in owning projects to successful completion involving a wide variety of technologies and systems
-The skillset to build holistically; from specs and documentation to implementation, testing, deployment, and measuring impact
-The ability to balance speed, complexity, and scope in service of user needs
-An interest in political science, NLP, risk, or global affairs
