JOB BRIEF
As a Junior Writer, you are responsible for coordinating and executing our clients’ digital, content, and social media marketing strategies for a wide variety of accounts in APAC, including but not limited to retail, F&B, automotive, luxury, education, and government. You will gain experience in amplifying content across key social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Telegram, and TikTok.
Be it video campaigns, social media posts, short video storyboards, or landing page copies, you will undertake a wide range of projects targeted at both B2C and B2B customers.
You must have a strong grasp of the English language and an even stronger portfolio that shows your ability to learn and adopt different writing styles either via your blog, published articles, social media pages, or notable school projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Account Services & Design teams to produce effective and creative online campaign and content ideas
- Participate in upcoming pitches and proposals
- Write in diverse and engaging styles to suit the clients’ branding, target market & digital platforms such as social media posts, banners, emails, and websites
- Able to write under tight deadlines for “hot topic” opportunities
- Stay abreast of the latest content and social media marketing trends and ideas
- Conduct and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content using content/digital marketing tools
- Analyze content performance, draw insights and prepare social media reports
- Be part of the team and share your thoughts, opinions, and ideas on what’s trending
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Degree or Diploma Major in Mass Communication/ Advertising/ Marketing/ Journalism
- A robust portfolio of works that include video campaigns and/or content marketing samples
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferably 1-2 years experience in social media/content/video marketing
- Familiarity with scheduling and publishing across social media platforms
- Previous working experience in video production, journalism, public relations, communications, digital marketing, or advertising will be an advantage
SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a knack for creative writing
- Have an innate interest, if not outright passion, for social media and content creation
- Ability to discern trends and analyze social media and content marketing performance
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, while simultaneously juggling several projects
