The Qsight team is passionate about creating new products through rigorous analysis of data that deliver relevant and actionable quantitative insights. Guidepoint Qsight identifies, acquires, cleanses, analyzes, and delivers high-value data that offers clients unparalleled quantitative insight into company and sector performance.
The Data Scientist will drive the development of Guidepoint Qsight’s offerings including building new products from proprietary data. As a member of the Qsight team, you’ll have an opportunity to build innovative solutions for the healthcare industry and share in the early-stage development of an exciting new analytics business.
What You'll Do:
- Execute on decisions to manage the ingestion, cleansing, and synthesis of data across sources
- Write, document, and maintain production-level code to support client deliverables and new products
- Build and leverage a strong familiarity with the U.S. healthcare system to inform your work
- Utilize a diverse array of technologies and tools as needed to deliver insights, such as SQL, Excel, and Python
- Work closely with a team of data scientists, industry analysts, and engineers to deliver innovative solutions to clients
What You Have

- Receptivity to learning. Demonstrated ability to gain expertise in broader context and subject matter. Familiarity with the U.S. healthcare system a plus.
- Exceptional data analysis skills. Data practitioner with hands-on experience building and maintaining lasting processes for extracting actionable insights from messy, uncategorized data and effectively communicating findings. Experience working with Excel & SQL.
- Attention to detail. Persistently pursues ground truth and is not satisfied with surface-level answers or convenient explanations. Digs deep to thoroughly understand the underlying components of data analysis and is meticulous about data accuracy.
- Problem-solving mindset. Capacity to remain focused on an objective while efficiently working through subtasks with their own successive hurdles and decision points.
- Team-first and mission-focused mentality. Prioritizes the execution of the objective and the overall success of the client and Qsight.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent verbal/written communication to non-technical audiences. Proactive communicator and doesn’t hesitate to raise issues and ask for clarification or help.
- Familiarity with programming concepts and languages. Exhibits a growth mindset and an eagerness to learn new tools and technologies.
- Strong desire to be a part of a high-growth, rapidly evolving business
- Graduate or undergraduate degree(s) in the quantitative field: CS, Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics, etc.
