We are building a platform and infrastructure for Conversational AI Voice Agents so that every business, developer, or tinkerer can easily build talking human-like AI agents and use them to serve their customers; this will unlock massive value for the world and a lot of happiness for people using these delightful agents.
We joined YC last year in the YC W23 batch. Since then, we have raised $20m in seed funding and seen significant growth in users and revenue (20x the last two years).
Role Overview
As the Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing PlayAI's sales strategy. You will lead the development of our sales team, focusing on building a high-performing outbound sales engine while optimizing our inbound sales processes for efficiency and prioritization. This is a unique opportunity to lead sales at a company with a revolutionary AI product, where you'll directly impact our growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:

Build, lead, and mentor a dynamic sales team focusing on high performance and growth.

Develop and implement an outbound sales strategy to drive new customer acquisition.

Refine inbound sales processes, ensuring efficient lead prioritization and follow-up.

Step in to qualify and close deals as needed, leveraging your experience as an Account Executive (AE).

Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align on strategies that support sales efforts and customer acquisition goals.

Track, measure, and improve key sales KPIs to ensure success across both inbound and outbound sales.

Drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities within existing accounts and new verticals.

Utilize data-driven insights to optimize sales processes and resource allocation.

Foster a sales culture that encourages accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Qualifications:

Proven experience building and scaling sales teams, preferably in a SaaS or AI-related environment.

Demonstrated success in developing and leading outbound sales strategies.

Strong understanding of inbound sales processes, prioritization, and optimization.

Hands-on leader with extensive experience in sales and sales management, particularly in startups.

You should possess high agency, be proactive in taking initiative, and understand how large companies buy while having extensive knowledge of different sales methodologies.

Experience with cloud players and ecosystems like AWS, Salesforce, Twilio, and others is a strong plus.

Experience with commercial partnerships is a plus.
