About the position
Vetcove is looking for a talented Head of Product Design to help oversee design of our web-based and mobile application tools. We’re reimagining the veterinary purchasing experience, and design is critical to that transformation. We're looking for someone who is excited to own that effort. You would be involved in the full product development cycle: from early research and product strategy, to design and developer hand-off. The Head of Product Design will partner closely with engineering, product, and business teams to define problems & goals, research requirements, map user flows, prototype, launch new products, and eventually lead a team of designers.
What you'll do

Own the full user experience vision and roadmap for Vetcove’s entire product suite

Partner with the rest of the Product team to define and iterate the full product roadmap

Grow, organize, lead, manage, and mentor a team of talented designers

Drive translation of complex solutions into optimal user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and clickable prototypes to communicate and validate designs, usability, and outcomes

Collaborate closely with engineering to deliver the desired UX
You should have

A passion to lead and mentor a team of product designers

A portfolio of user-centered product-thinking that highlights user flows, interaction design and information architecture

A “student of design” mentality - a natural curiosity with a “learn it all,” instead of a know it all mindset

Demonstrated experience in developing strategy, aligning a roadmap to outcomes and the company mission

A proven track record of solving complex design problems with elegant design solutions

Comfort with rapid iteration, experimentation, and prototyping at various levels of fidelity

Empathetic verbal, written and visual presentation skills
