The Role

Over the past 2 years, Motion has built a founder-led marketing operation that can efficiently deploy millions in ad spend across multiple channels. This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting startup that has a winning formula for marketing, take that playbook to the next level, and build a world-class marketing team from the ground-up.

This is an exec-level role for an experienced marketing leader to bring Motion’s world-class marketing operation to the next level. You will work directly with Motion’s founders, manage millions in ad budget, manage agency creators & buyers, and well as build out Motion’s internal marketing team. You will manage Motion’s paid social marketing efforts and initiate efforts into new paid channels. You’ll develop Motion’s SEO strategy, a major focus for the company, and other organic initiatives that have compounding returns over time. You’ll continuously experiment with positioning, landing pages, messaging, creative content, etc. Finally, you’ll improve our marketing infrastructure & analytics to create a world-class marketing operation at Motion.

Responsibilities

  • Build out internal marketing team, manage agency content creators and media buyers

  • Manage paid social budget and explore new paid channels

  • Develop SEO and other organic initiatives

  • Continuously experiment with positioning, landing pages, creative content, etc.

  • Improve conversion funnel metrics

  • Improve Motion’s marketing infrastructure & analytics

What we’re looking for

  • 8+ years of performance marketing and SEO experience

  • Strong technical background - deep understanding of marketing technologies & infrastructure, quantitative approach to performance marketing & analytics

  • Strong creative vision, able to develop differentiated messaging and positioning

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to execute, ambitious goals and accountability for results

  • Experience leading and building a world-class marketing team
