🌟 About the role

We are looking for our first human resources leader to help establish this function internally and build our team. You'll join an operations team that will include our Recruiter, Junior Recruiter, and our Happiness Lead.

🚀 You will...

  • Build our HR Function: As the first in the role, you will be at the forefront of establishing our HR department from the ground up. Your expertise and leadership will be pivotal in developing and implementing HR policies, processes, people programs, and initiatives that align with our company's goals and values. 🏢

  • Be Our Culture and Experience Steward: You will act as the visionary and architect of Community Phone’s culture and employee and teammate experience; you have a honed vision for what robust company culture could look like and are excited to execute on that vision for our global, remote team.

  • Handle Team Operations Oversight: You will oversee various HR functions and lead various strategic initiatives, including: global payroll and compensation design, compliance, benefits administration and global total rewards, employee engagement initiatives, organizational design and structure, performance and talent assessment, and onboarding and offboarding. Moreover, you will be actively involved in promoting employee satisfaction and well-being to create a harmonious and motivated workforce. 💼 😊

  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Your role will require you to work closely with third-party council, as well as collaborate directly with company leadership. This cross-functional collaboration will be essential in ensuring HR initiatives complement other business strategies and foster a cohesive remote work environment. 🤝

  • Manage Team Growth: You should have previous experience growing and managing teams and demonstrate the ability to develop, lead, and mentor a growing HR department. 👩🏽‍💻

  • Financial Acumen: As the HR Manager, you will have budgetary responsibilities, making it essential for you to be comfortable managing finances to optimize HR-related spending. 💰

  • Relationship Builder: Cultivating strong internal relationships, especially with company leadership, is central to this role. Your interpersonal skills will be essential in gaining buy-in for HR initiatives and promoting a collaborative and supportive global remote-first work environment. 🌈
