Fleetzero is hiring a Head of Battery Engineering who will be responsible for leading the design and integration of high voltage battery modules, packs, and systems across a fast-paced and highly iterative development process. Fleetzero's development process involves rapid development, testing, and iteration of systems to maintain and broaden our technical moat. This leader will be responsible for leading the iterative design and continuous development process for Fleetzero's containerized battery system.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a high-functioning team in a fast-paced environment
- Significant organizational skils, leadership, and vision
- Demonstrated experience designing high voltage battery modules, packs, and related systems
- Working knowledge of various battery cell chemistries and formats and their relative properties
- Working knowledge of engineering principles in the battery industry (automotive, storage, aviation, etc)
- Working knowledge of battery relevant standards published by regulators and industry associations (UL, IEC, ANSI, ASME, SAE, DNV, ABS, etc)
- Understanding and experience with various HVAC and thermal technologies
- Experience in modeling physical systems using hand calculations, FEA, CFD, and/or custom scripts.
- Knowledge or experience using manufacturing equipment (CAD/CAM, CNC, - 3D printers, plotters, etc.), to prototype/test new design concepts
- Experience using Solidworks and PDM software (or related)
- Experience with interpreting and creating engineering drawings following ASME Y14.5
- Familiarity with interpreting and creating process and instrumentation diagrams
