mojo is an app to create animated social media content with a professional look.

Users can choose from hundreds of templates and modify them to their needs.

The app was launched in late 2018. Users and revenues have grown strongly since. Mojo is now the #1 app to create animated content for Instagram stories. Recently, the app reached 20M installs and passed the $1M mark in monthly gross revenue.

In 2018, the company went through the Y Combinator accelerator program.

The ambition for mojo is to become the leading app for short video creation on mobile.

What we are looking for

Missions 🎯

Hundred thousands of videos are created and uploaded every week by our community.

As part of the mojo web team, you will team up with Axel to make sure our users get a seamless experience on all of their devices, keeping their creations safe on our servers.

You could also work on back-office applications to help mojo teams highlight some user-generated content in our mobile applications for example.

In one word you will make our users love our app even more each day by:

• Developing new features and maintaining them at scale

• Increasing our quality of service by fixings bugs and improving the codebase

• Becoming a technical referent for web-related tasks

• Helping on web-related processes and tools: QA / Releases / Project Management / Product

Skills✨

Here are the skills it takes to be a good fit:

- mandatory 3+ years of experience as a Fullstack Web Developer in teams of at least 3+ engineers

• Proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

• Knowledge of at least one frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular)

• Knowledge of modern web backend development (HTTP protocol, REST, Serverless)

• Knowledge of using both SQL and NoSQL (Mongo) databases (queries, indexes, aggregations)

• Knowledge of supporting tools (Git, Sentry, Postman, CI/CD)

We expect you to be at least an expert on one of these areas and have a strong willingness to learn the others.

• GraphQL with Apollo

• Scripting with Python/Ruby/Perl

We're a small team of 12 people. Half of us are working remotely. Our communication is mostly written.
