BharatX is a startup trying to change how the 250 million Indian Middle-Class Indians get access to credit. We give Credit via other consumer-facing apps and platforms as-a-Feature to their customers via a simple integration of our APIs in a Plug-and-Play manner. Our offerings enable journeys like Postpaid on Uber/Ola, Pay after Trial on Lenskart/Meesho, Pay in 3 on Flipkart/BoAt, Credit-Line on PhonePe/Gpay in a white-labelled and embedded manner!

What you will impact:

You will be directly working on modules and interfaces that will be or are already used in production interacting with live customers. These modules are built to scale, and seeing something you worked on scaling to cater to so many users is amazing! You will use an array of technologies used within BharatX, not limited to NoSQL databases, message brokers, and weird choices of HTTP servers.

As a full-stack developer, you would be directly working on in one or more of:

• Production server apps and systems that affect all our customers.
• SDKs that our merchants integrate with to use our products and services.
• Different product flows and user experience.
• Merchant facing websites and dashboard.
• Internal dashboards.
• Web plugins.

What you will learn:

How to get stuff done! You will solve real-world challenges that no experience or training can help you. Only your grit and passion for solving the problem will help you figure out how to deal with them. You will learn to think from a technical as well as product point of view. ‘How will this feature affect the customer?’, ‘How will I architect this in a way to ensure that it can scale to millions of users?’ will be questions that you think about on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop different components, services, and APIs.
• Develop front-end components while working closely with the design team.
• Design and maintain our SDK offerings.
• Write elegant, effective, and scalable code while maintaining the highest level of coding standards.
• Take complete ownership of projects and ensure timely deliveries.
• Identify architectural weaknesses, design issues, performance and scalability issues, and recommend solutions.
• Participate actively in code reviews.

What we look for:

We need people who are quick learners and bold enough to suggest crazy ideas. From a technical front, we need people who have:

• Demonstrable experience with backend development, including handling databases, managing cloud infrastructure, developing server apps, etc.
• Demonstrable website development experience using frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js or app development experience.
• Good knowledge of networking, security and ability to architect new systems.
• Reverse engineering & pro-googling.
• Excellent code documentation and communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of Git.
• Ability to interact with all stakeholders. Understand business requirements and effectively convert them into technical specifications.
• Ability to make architectural decisions (choice of development frameworks and tools, database optimisations, load handling).
• Startup work experience (preferred).
