Frontend Software Engineer

We provide a full-service solution to help brands collaborate with YouTube and Instagram creators to create exciting influencer marketing collaborations. As a Frontend Software Engineer at Makrwatch, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our client-side web applications.

Location: Remote and location-independent between GMT-9 and GMT+3

You will work closely with other members in our Product Team to solve complex projects that help our startup achieve results that traditionally required large teams. We need our engineers to be communicative, resourceful, fast learners, creative, and enthusiastic about using the latest technologies to create solutions that multiply our customers' success. You manage individual projects’ priorities, deadlines and deliverables. You design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions.

You have strong frontend experience developing secure, high performing and maintainable web applications writing modern client-side code, but can also dabble in backend development for very specific tasks if needed!

You’ll be the first full-time Frontend Software Engineer of Makrwatch.

Responsibilities:

• Write client-side code to interact with our backend services.
• Build unit and integration tests.
• Translate UI designs into code.
• Standardize our frontend applications.
• Improve the performance of our web applications.
• Help with specific backend tasks if needed.
• Take on tasks as required, following through to completion despite roadblocks or distractions.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related areas. Practical experience or high-end bootcamp - experience also works.
• Frontend developer experience (3-5 years).
• Fully capable of writing modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Practical experience with React and Redux.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, cross-group, and cross-culture collaboration.
• Versatility to work in different areas of the development process (Front end, back end, data analysis)
• Exceptional speaking, written and communication skills in English. Minimum proficiency level B2.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Next.js.
• Experience with cloud computing services like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Python 3.6+.
• Experience working remotely.
